Will the Michelin 225 tires work on the rear of the 310 with the 761002 Alcoa rims, saw where people stated they were to close to each other on the Forums. This is why I have been searching for 8R/19.5 tires for so long. Thanks on the centermatic info.

No problem, the 370LE clearance is a little over 1”.

You’re probably running a steel rim on the inner, correct ?

Yes, steel rim on inside rear, that makes it easier to find tires in my area running 225's

I don't mean to be a downer but in the interest of safety the Michelin XZE 225/70R19.5 has a maximum speed rating of 75 MPH. Most all 19.5 tires are rated a 75 MPH maximum speed.

Having a tire come apart at speed can not only adversely affect your day but can inflict significant damage to your Airstream.

Seems like there may be a little more room on the top end.

Another FINE example of Airstream’s shoddy workmanship.....after reinstalling the generator the interior start/stop switches would not work, honestly, you would think that they would have used quality butt connectors for the price they charged for these Classic motor homes, but it appears they went to the lowest bidder ! The amp draw in the second 20 amp circuit is 22 amps with both the rear AC and the 100 amp power max converter operating. That explains why the 20 amp breaker was tripping. With the new 30 amp breaker installed the front circuit is drawing 15 amps with the front AC on leaving me plenty of spare power, I believe I could still run the microwave/convection oven, but I don’t want to push my luck ! HEY! What gives?
You're something special to get butt connectors; must have been an upgrade from the screw on wire cap connectors my coach has.[emoji849]
Cheers

I finished up installing the additional closet lighting that I wanted to do and the second used cancel overdrive switch that I got off of EBay worked so that is installed now and operational ! Life is good ! Regards, BobClick image for larger version

Bob,
On your 325 what type of lug nut cover did you use to cover the extra lug nut holes on your front 5 lug Alcoa rims. Getting ready to try the 225's on the rear of my 310. My tire guy asked me how I was going to cover the extra holes on the front rims. Didn't know if you had a part number for the lug nut cover.

Another “last minute” project before the Labor Day weekend trip was to find a place to put my collapsible ladder when not using it. I used to put it on the floor next to the couch or on the bedroom floor.....always in the way. A 6” PVC pipe was to big and a 4” to small. I was able to obtain the perfect 5” and related end caps/hangers to make it happen. I will also be trying the new/old overdrive switch tonight on the ride out. Another excellent trip to Cooperstown, performance was excellent with the 370LE, the cancel overdrive switch works as it should kicking me out of 4th gear back into 3 rd..I’ll experiment with the foot up and downshift buttons before the end of the season. I’m making final preparations with Jasper for the engine rebuild and getting ready to pull the “kitchen” for it’s replacement in late October. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

A rare sight to see for sure.....2 of the original 33 370LE’s traveling together....to give you a perspective of the length of a 370LE, the following pictures will show. Maybe next year we can get Ken from down south and a few others for a 370 reunion, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

I put one of these lights on the Snap-On truck and I have got a lot of compliments, the larger 54” model, however they make a 36” model so.....it fits perfectly. I should have the wiring done on Sunday in time for the last trip in the dark to Cooperstown (Columbus Day) weekend. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

370 LE start to finish.....

Got one ordered today. A couple idiots decided to ignore my signal and cut me off on lane changes. Should make it difficult for them to tell the cops they didn’t see my signal.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NL1ZPZ7..._G0MLDbYCAYW79

Best deal I found.
