It's amazing how once the patent on the Canadian invented Rbertson screw head lapsed, how fast you Yankees have adopted them over the perenial Phillips screw head.

Once you go Robertson, you'll never touch a Phillips screw again.

Cheers

I spent about 45 minutes with the factory guy going over the transmission wiring diagram......time well spent, definitely knows his stuff. All my questions are now answered and I can make the final connections to the TCM (transmission control module) I hate abbreviations and really don’t care to use them. I believe it shows laziness. In any event, I finished up the new rear wiring harness that I replaced when I pulled the fuel tank out.....all rear lights working now.Click image for larger version

I believe the term you're looking for is TLA
(Three Letter Acronym)

But there are only 17,576 TLAs possible. So what’s the issue?

As a side note NASA loves TLAs and uses them all the time. They even have lots of FLAs.**

Pronounced them as words, and I swear they have a whole department that does nothing but invent new ones.

Four Letter Acronyms, of course. And before you break out the calculator, there are up to 456,976 of those.

Example: SMAC stands for System Monitoring And Control, a bunch of computers and software to keep track of what a single spacecraft system is doing, and display the data to the team. It’s pronounced like is was spelled ‘smack’.

Oh yes, NASA/NOAA love their
TLAs (three)
FLAs (four)
And even some
FLAs (five)

What, is there any reason not to use the same acronym for multiple things? I've never seen it stop anybody!

I wonder which is worse.....wedged under the dashboard for half a day or doing overhead wiring while laying on your back for half a day ??? Well, I did both today. The harness is in and complete. There is now more wiring for the transmission than any other item on the 370LE. It better work ! That’s all I can say ! LOL...a few more screws in the wheel wells during the week and some transmission programming on the laptop next weekend and hopefully I’ll be good to go for the road test 5/11. So far everything is right on schedule. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

You are a patient and determined man Mr. Miller.

I have been reading about this build for almost 3 years now.

The end is in sight!

2 more years to go on this overhaul....next winter, engine rebuild, 2-speed rear end install, and new dashboard/gauges. The following winter, renew the factory aluminum brushed finish and apply new clear coat ......if I’m still vertical ! Regards, Bob

Do you seriously think you’ll be passing the halfway mark if that gauge in your stock configuration ?????

Considering I just ordered the “Magic” electrically operated height adjustable dinette table on 4/17/19, I just received it ! I still can’t understand why when I was in Jackson Center last summer I was quoted a price of $1,600.00 I thought if it was around $600.00-$800.00 I would get it. When I priced it at Albany RV in New York recently I was quoted $2,600.00. Dam.....no way....I will post pictures tomorrow as well as the invoice for all to see....$120.00 for the pedestal and $137.00 for the shipping. I have ordered is from Airstream directly before and I never got the order before 4 weeks......AMAZING! Regards, Bob

The pedestal is about 20 lbs. and about 14” square. I waited to order an up/down momentary switch and I’m glad I did ! It came with all the wiring and the wall switch and as a bonus.....a wireless remote control ! The wiring goes through the floor, I can mount the switch on the wall below the window and snake the wiring through the wall into the storage compartment aft of the entry door !
