Finally found one $185.00, but try and make one. Now that the dash climate control works as it should, the expense is worth it to me, Regards, Bob

They are still available, I actually ordered it through my local Ford Dealership even though it is a Chrysler part.

Bob
When you did the 50 amp conversion I assume you ran additional wiring to the AC switch (rooftop ac’s). If so, were you able to pull through the holes in the wall, or are the wires tied to something? Thanks!

Soooo I didn't realize any of our Classics had plywood behind the vinyl wall covering. At least that's what that looks like. So is the plywood covering aluminum or is the plywood fastened directly to the ribs with no aluminum interior wall covering....at least in that area of the coach? Hmmmmmmmmmm, something new every day. I'm guessing you're going with a cool tile finish or shiny aluminum on that wall........right? Right.
On another note, your new motor. I'm not sure I followed what you posted. So are you going to find a used motor and have it rebuilt to your specs? Or are you buying a new motor and modify it to your specs? Sure wish I lived closer so I could get in the way while you're doing the swap, I would love to witness that process first hand. I'm assuming you're doing the work in your shop there. Hire some teenager to hang out and do nothing but photograph the process as you go along.

Damm....you're good, indeed, plywood behind the wall paper, then an .040 inner aluminum skin, and you are correct on the finish, but I'm not saying which one...The 7.3 Ford IDI Turbo is going to be a rebuilt engine to my specs including the exhaust brake...the trany guys are writing the software as we speak for the highly modified 4R100 overdrive transmission which will be mated to the 7.3 On a side note I almost had to cut my right pinky finger off this morning....I was snaking wires through the wall and reached in with my pinky to grab the snake wire and got stuck.....an hour later I was free...never again, cell phone has no coverage in the shop and the house is 1/2 mile away......no one would hear me scream anyway so it doesn't matter LOL ! Ask Charly...he can tell you ! Regards, Bob

370 LE start to finish.....
Haven’t had time to follow too close. Sounds like a change in plans on the 7.3. That’s a damn nice engine. I almost bought a F250 from my brother in loo to harvest the engine and transmission. Should be a good fit in a box designed for that big block Ford.

Dave, to difficult to mount the Detroit into the chassis, accessorieslike the alternator and the AC compressor were to high to fit under the dog house, accessory brackets were and are unobtainium......the 7.3 is a better fit, with the exhaust brake and the 4R100 overdrive transmission, Regards, Bob
