It looks like we have a new learning curve with the Forum web-site lay out. It's kind of like getting a new Snap-On catalog every 3 years......the idiot who designs the lay out never used a tool in their life ! Anyway......I finished up my medicine cabinet/ radiant floor heating thermostat issue (concern) 2 hours as expected, had to lose the protective cover box inside the wall.....it was overkill anyway, now everything fits perfect with 3/8" to spare. I more coat if stain tonight and the wall/doors go in tomorrow , more to follow, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

In case anyone wants to know there are 144 screws between both piano hinges......that doesn't include all the other screws for the other parts, took 3 tries to get the new door frame in, at 47" wide and 75" high it could not be turned once it was in....I figured it out, good thing no one was around to hear me scream and curse. I'll finish the doors tonight, taking a coffee break now and am going to play with the dog ! Got the new generator unloaded, now I can make accurate measurements for the new box, and I have to change the calipers on the Yukon.....more later, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

The bathroom door re-do is now 98% finished, just a lock adjustment and some touch up on the stain work. Was it worth it....well let's just say I'm not the one who weighs 300 lbs. The door project took up an enormous amount of time plus the labor cost on the wood cause I don't do wood and the aggravation of having to find a new guy cause the original guy crapped out on me...I want to get the water system fired up tomorrow and start to go through my list to get ready for the road test, Regards, Bob

Interesting.....you had to put the Suburban up on a lift in order for the mast of the forklift to clear the rear hatch......I'm thinking the initial lift of the Suburban was done very very slowly, as the weight imbalance on the lift would have been impossible to calculate.

Glad it worked out for you.
Cheers

No Tony, the Yukon XL is on the lift so I can change the front calipers and the spare tire winch which stopped working when I tested it last weekend while I was taking off the snow tires. I should have left them on cause it's snowing again right now.... is it ever going to stop ???? I finished up all the forward seating, just waiting on the new floor mats, isle runner and dinette cushions. The curtains will have to wait till next year cause I am out of time.... Regards, Bob

Bob, that looks flat out BAD TO THE BONE! I love the red and the carpet combo. The close ups of the fabric on the furniture looks like the old mohair almost. One of my brothers recently had an antique couch done in mohair, $$$$$$$$$, HELLO! That's gorgeous Bob! Luxurious to say the least. Fine work.

Getting down to the nity/gritty now, Sunday is finish the dinette, waiting for my friends at Metal Supermarket if Albany to finish up the 3, .040 interior door skin panels, am going to try and finish up the slide installation for the drawer under the couch and custom heat vents for the furnace. I'm going to try and tackle the horn ring problem so I don't have to use a horn button remote mounted.....I hate drilling holes where they don't belong. I plan on doing my usual road test clean out the fresh water tank, fill the propane tank etc. on Sunday 4/29. That gives me 2 weeks to fix almost anything that may be a problem, then there's always the 325LE for back-up, Regards, Bob

Bob have you thought of selling it for some low price just to get rid of it and starting fresh on another one? Surely the diesel conversion won't fill all your time next winter.

Actually Lance, had it not been for finding the 370LE of my dreams with the factory installed dinette, it would have been a 92 350LE.....have you seen the one on E Bay today ???

370 LE start to finish.....

Looking at that listing could be dangerous. Appears to be solid and relatively low miles. I'm not sure I believe the 10-13 MPG though. In any event the next season of 'The Bob Miller Show'should be fascinating when he installs a Diesel engine in his motor home. Stay tuned to this station.

I got the screen door protectors from Out if Doors Mart and re-installed them indexing the screws of coarse. I picked up some new screen material and piping so tomorrow I will finish that up. Dinette cushions come tomorrow and still have some trim work in the toilet room to finish up. I may fire the 370 up tomorrow and move it out to rinse it off....,a lot of dust from the winter. Regards, Bob
