I too suggest vinyl floor planking. We looked at various options for our house and decided on Coretec XL. Wide choice of colors, designs and textures for no slip wood grain appearance. I won't know how I really like it till later this spring, for what it is worth.

I will be interested to see how you go about covering the bottom part of the vanity transition thru the side of the wheel well to the floor.

Has anyone managed to cover that area nicely with anything other than carpet?
I would really like to see how that can be done well.

That was my challenge when rebuilding the head and its base.
Well that and the dreaded cold floor, while trying to use the facilities.

Cheers Richard

Check out Warmly Yours Temp Zone Flex roll heating mats which are laid under your floor covering. Keeps the floors pleasantly warm in cooler weather. Now is the time to do it if you are considering it. I did it in my 86 345 down the main isle way. I should have also did the restroom and under the dinette. Next time I won't skimp.

The bathroom wall cut did not go as planned, so now I have removed the entire wall including the door for a complete rebuild using a single 3/4" piece of oak plywood like I did with the shower door opening last year. I also finished up the install of the new air parking brake control next to the driver's seat. Thanks to Lance I have now made a floor grid of the rear bedroom and the front salon to install the heated floor mats before the carpeting gets installed. I needed a hand holding up the new brake switch on the outside while I started the screws from inside and came up with this idea. It worked ! Regards, Bob

Bob,

Can you provide the particulars on the new brake release switch you installed? I may need to replace mine.

Bob, I know there have been a couple folks who cut that wall to open up the bath. I'm not planning on doing it but I'm curious, what type of saw and blade did you use to try and cut that wall. I can't think of a way to make a clean cut in that material.

LOL Mike.....you're a wood guy, not me. I picked up the wall on Sunday and it looked like crap ( to put it in a better word), told him it was totally unacceptable.....and to take his head out of his ass and do it right. Soooo now I had to take the whole wall out which includes the door and the whole mess is going to his shop this Sunday. Oh and by the way I removed the mirror on the back of the door and decided to get a new one because the tape that holds the mirror to the wood removed the silver in the mirror and when you looked in the mirror you can see the 1/2" wide tape line from top to bottom , while I was at it I removed 4 other mirrors with the same problem on the closet in the bedroom.......so 5 custom made beveled mirrors, another $500.00 bucks. Regards, Bob Oh by the way.....the entire wall (bathroom) is 47" wide, so I am using a single sheet if 3/4" oak plywood for the new wall/door

Hey Bob, I know you already hate me. But since you are going all out for comfort you might consider this ultimate toilet. The attached datasheet only details a few of the magnificent features for your movement pleasure. With a list price of $10,200.00 you may want to pick up a few.

Bob, I'm always lurking, but wanted to point something out if you hadn't seen it.

Was in WxBouy's Cummins MH thread, today, digging for Diesel info.

I spotted some great pics of the toilet door fold back mod, you are doing, that might help somehow.

Here is a link to the thread... its page 4, and post #48 and #49.

The flu has got the better part of me for the last week, although I worked everyday I haven't felt like this in over 25 years.....i' m a prime candidate for the Pepto-Bismal commercial.....the only thing I did this week on the 370LE is finish up the parking brake control and finished the grid on graph paper for the warmly yours electric floor heat layout, which gets pretty complicated in the bedroom.....more later, Regards, Bob Click image for larger version

I'm starting to put the windows back together and I wanted to make sure the front right cockpit window drain was working....well it wasn't....couldn't even blow through it with 150 PSI so....I pulled the panel and the interior skin. Well after I removed all the insulation and old acorn shells and the rest of the crap that you find, come to find out because of the way they installed it from the factory, it never worked ! Great design, installed totally incorrectly....need I say more ! Unbelievable . I will replace the tubing, installed correctly this time, all the insulation, and dyna-mat it for sound deadoning. More pictures to follow, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

Yeah, that looked like my front A/C drain as they folded it around my C channel and then riveted the interior wall to the C channel on both sides of the tube to flatten it out for good measure.🙄😬

BTW, this flu season has been a killer; we had two girls pass away (grade 2 and 7), from the same school! My Dad was out for almost four weeks. I've been knocking on wood everyday.

Get better soon amigo
Cheers

OK, time to really ramp it up....upholstery and carpet guy are coming out Saturday 3/3 for the start of the install, I have to finish up the front area, dynamats should be here Tuesday, The new John ( no pun intended Shepard57 ) will also arrive next week. I finished up with the new insulation on the right front, both left and right drain hoses are now installed correctly as well as finishing up all the new gaskets around the front right window. I have to dig into my sodomy fund to order some more gasket material that I mis-measured for the left front slider window from Inland, Regards, Bob
