Watching and enjoying, Bob.
Question.
Is the 370 tag the same as the 325/345 tag?

No, the tag appears larger with different mounts than the 325,345,350 tag.

Just a progress report....tag axle completely stripped down R/S front passenger/Salon windows stripped, getting a baseline on the material needed gasket wise for the windows. 5 different gaskets to do the job correctly. I am waiting for my upholstery guy to show up before I gut the interior again......Regards, Bob

I received all the tag axle brake assembly's and 5 different types of window felt/gaskets , and rear tag axle brake drum bearings and races so now I can get back to work. I will post some pictures of the rear drive tire spacing with the Michelins on so all can see that there is plenty of room even with running 2 Alcoas together. Regards Bob

Bob,
What resource did you use to select your gaskets? I ask because I have been having difficulty finding mine. If I could find a picture catalog, or standardized gasket descriptions I'd be set, but I am at the mercy of going to different RV part sites and seeing what they have. I find most things in RV land are 2-3x more expensive than if I can just get part numbers and go to non-rv sources.
Thanks in advance.

On the gaskets, years ago I talked to Andy at Inland, He sent me samples which I kept with the part numbers on them. You can try Inland RV but e prepared to be sodomized invoice wise, but at least you will have the correct stuff, Regards, Bob

So Andy has sold Inland and we were wondering how the new business owner is doing.
Have not had the need to call lately even though we will be in need for a new Astrodome.

Recently I was looking for a couple of items on his website for windows and couldn't find them. I had previously purchased some from Andy so I know they used to carry them. Just poking around the website it appeared fewer items were listed.

Yep, Inlands website was always confounding to us.
Most everything was in Andy's brain. We would spend time with him on the phone or try to get the same sales lady. Andy's style was not everybody's cup of tea but man he know a lot about vintage airstreams.
Couple of times we picked our stuff up in person to save on the horrendous shipping fee and to make sure we were getting the correct item.
In the end I always wished Andy would sell all of his stock to Steve at Vintage Trailer Sales but I knew that was never going to be a deal.

Seems like the 370LE that was purchased in Idaho made it back to the east coast, the new owners name is Ken and he has called me directly (actually spoke to Debbie) while I was at work. I'm going to have to put together a list of east coast 370LE owners pretty soon. Getting ready to really crank it up on my 370LE after the holidays, I have chosen the interior colors...Maroon for the cloth upholstery and curtains, dark grey for the carpeting and black granite for the countertops. Regards, Bob

I had a really nice Christmas yesterday, I hope all of you did as well....the best part of the day for me was to not have to go to the in-laws...it's really not my thing (they're pretty liberal) and I'de have to stare at that commemerative platter of obama all day long. So I got some quality time in on the 370LE. I finished pulling all of the carpeting (except the bathroom and dog house cover out) removed all the snap together hard wood flooring in the bedroom and front area (exposing 2 areas of subflooring that need to be repaired) Also Charly (Streamquest) gave me a factory NOS air pressure guage which is now installed. He doesn't post much but after my trip to his place he has his 370LE pretty much torn apart and is going through all the chassis components right now...he has even removed the entire front end for cleaning ! I think as long as I am going to remove the toilet again to remove the carpeting, I'm thinking about doing the folding wall with the piano hinge to make the toilet room larger ! Regards, Bob

Now that I have stripped the interior out, there are two places on the floor that I have found that need replacing. I am also ready to do the bathroom wall cut...so that the wall opens up into the hallway towards the bedroom...I will take detailed pictures of the wall cut before and after, I believe this modification will give more room while reading in the toilet room or just have a nicer appearance while in the shower area with a little more room to move around in. Regards, Bob
