Bob,

I assume you tried because you are thorough, but did you happen to put some compressed air on the drain line to try and clear it? Kreimer did that while we were out at the campsite in Washington KS and cleared his right up.

Yeah, tried the air and even a snake....it appears to be kinked somewhere around the bathroom window

So I measured with a fish tape this morning....the rear drain pipe is either kinked or something right at the base of the bathroom window.....no way to get to it so I'm going to have to run a new one, what a pain in the ass at this point ! I'm going to send my boroscope up the drain pipe to see what I can see....on a positive note the satellite is up and working both in the salon and the bedroom. We are going to get it out of the shop this Sunday come hell or high water, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

Nick, this project will go on for at least 3 winters, I got in way over my head this winter....that is why I am suffering now. Phase 2 which is this winter will include redo of all the window seals, all new upholstery for the interior and a gear vendors overdrive unit..,,the list was massive last winter and I hope not to repeat that much work again. Regards, Bob

Nice, now we are out of the shop. It is the perfect day for a decent cleaning....removing all of the overspray and winter heating dust, cleaned up the greasy mess under the motor home n the chassis from the leaking steering box and all the other leaks that are now fixed. About 86 degrees outside and with the generator running the 2 new Penguin AC units were able to cool the 370LE down to 62 degrees inside ! That will definitely work. Front DirectV receiver working well still having difficulty with the rear. As soon as the damm shower assm is done I can get the rest of the 370LE back together. Regards, Bob

Nice progress Bob, must feel good to get I outside and running again.

If I had my shower pan out and accessible like that, I would do some heavy layup on the bottom of the pan to stiffen and reinforce it from the flexing that that the original layup allows. No cracks in mine so far but it only seems a mater of time.

With yours and Brads projects we are getting to watch some excellent renovation work. Mighty impressive.

Cheers Richard

Originally it did not flex, it did leak though and because they used particle board underneath....well , you know the rest

The shower unit is finally in my shop, obviously I will not make July 4th weekend, I re-applied the first FRP wall in the shower with the steel roller and it came out great, now the second wall is done. The new front Michelin tires are on and the other 6 for the rear are ordered. I am still hoping for taking the 370LE to Lancaster for our vacation during the last week of July but with only two weekends to work on it, it's debatable. Regards, Bob

What adhesive did you end up using with the FRP Bob? Glad to hear the new roller worked out for ya.

Good deal, sounds like it worked out great. Yup, no adjusting it once it makes contact. Looking forward to seeing the final product on your shower, its going to be so bright and clean looking!! Once again, really good idea, in my opinion, using the FRP for that application.

We are here in Cooperstown for the "long " 4th of July weekend with the 396XL. I really wish I had the 370LE with us. Our vacation to Lancaster is in 3 weeks....if I can't finish the 370LE by then, I think I am going to slice my wrists ! The shower pan is in and next weekend the last ceiling piece of FRP will be installed, then the shower door, then the refrigerator, then the dinette.......Christ, I ought to find a bridge to jump off of now.......Regards, Bob

Take a break, enjoy the weekend and look back at what all you have accomplished in such a short time. You are an inspiration to all of us more tool challenged backyard Airstream restorers.
