310 Turbo Cruise Control Cable

I have a broken cable on the cruise control on my 310. It has the Izuzu Diesel Engine. Any help as to where one can be purchased would be very helpful.

Thanx,
Keith

Smile Hi

Go to any spedometer repair shop. They will make you a new one. Bring the old unit with you as a sample.

Have you tried your local Isuzu truck dealer? They may have one sitting on a shelf.

Keith, I seriously recommend that you replace the entire cruise control, cables and control boxes and all. I fixed my cable ('84 turbo diesel 310) only to have the control box go crazy and try to accelerate to infinity regardless of braking or key off attempts. Scary! Very grateful for manual fuel shutoff. The new electronic cruise control retrofit kits only cost in the $250 range but are much more dependable. 73, Jamie

Jamie, my cruise control quit coming back from the Calgory Stampede in 2000, and I have been unable to find parts for it since. Please tell me what kit you used on your rig. We also have the Isuzu diesel engine and Allison transmission.
