Rivet *2021 Classic Motorhome Rally-Rig count*

The week of Thanksgiving, we are planning on visiting some potential Classic Airstream MH Rally locations in Arkansas.
Classic Airstream Motorhome means any aluminum built Motorhome, labeled Airstream or Argosy

I am currently looking at Monday Oct 11th 2021 - Sunday Oct 17th 2021.

Camping has become extremely popular and Arkansas State Parks allow reservations 1 year in advance.
The park I have in mind already has all of their 35 50amp/sewer sites reserved for that time frame.
Currently there are about 45 30amp sites available, however without sewer. Arkansas enjoys moderate temperatures in mid October, so 30 amp should meet our needs.

Once I visit the Park and find it to be suitable for a Motor Home gathering and the size of our rigs, I would have to move fast to reserve sites. I already have spoken to the Park Ranger and he will print out an availability site sheet for me when I arrive. I will be leaving Nov 21st 2020 and would appreciate attendance feedback by then.
A non-refundable $40.- commitment would be required once we start the sign up, which would not happen until I return after Thanksgiving. Once you pay the initial deposit AND are able to attend, you would also commit to the full 6 night stay (appr $240.-), regardless of which day you arrive or leave. Since plans and life changes, you could always cancel, but would loose your $40.- deposit. Or you could transfer it to someone else.

As of right now, I just need to get an idea of how many sites to reserve and pay for. No guarantees and/or commitments from me until I see the location.

We'll use this thread for head count and probably start a new one for the rally itself. Please use this format, if you would willing to commit (not pay as of now) to the initial deposit :

Wish we could be there.....!
It‘s a „tiny little bit“ ;0) too far away for Bangles and me.
I remember again and again our USA-trip from Wilton/IA to Baltimore/MD, as we brang Bangles to the port back in 2014.
America is a great country! Wide roads, very kind people, amazing cities and impressive nature. We apreciated every day and mile.
We all wish you a pleasant gathering, great moments and joyfull evenings.
Have a save trip, stay healthy !!! live better riveted !!!

Count me as #4.

If the Argosy is up to the task I should be able to make it. If it's not then I'll probably drive out there just to see everyone for a day.

Brad, just stick that steering wheel on, load it up with spare parts and tools and throw a mattress in there. We will feed you! How long did you say your Argosy was again?

Not retired and there is probably a 50% chance we'll have to cancel, but what the heck, put us down for the $40 deposit. We should be full-time remote, and sounds like a blast.

I do know it's not going anywhere until I replace the alternator. Way back when I was rebuilding the engine and trying to figure out what alternator to use I found a $15 used one in the junkyard that I used for fitment verification. Well it fit so I left it in place. Now it seems that it's no longer working so I need to fix it......

Just found out the time limit for 'temporary importations' of a vehicle into the US is 1 year, so a 1 year road trip whilst working on the road is a possibility!

Heck I haven't been to my 'place of work' since February so it shows remote working is possible.

Working on a different continent would certainly be the perfect definition of Working Remotely

Put me on the list.

Martin, we will be on a long caravan just to get there.

Brad, an alternator, that's the best excuse you can come up with?

#8 for Dan. Which length can I put down for you 280 or 345?
