1994 Classic MH Key blank

Help!,
I have lost my only key to my MH.
Does anyone know how to get one made with the VIN code?

I need the code for a key blank for a 1994 36 Classic MH. Like the one pictured on my avatar.
I just need the code off of the key so I can get a blank.

If anyone has a key to their 1994 ish' MH, please check your keys and see if there is some tell tale sign as to what tyoe of key it is.

It is a Chevy P30 chassis..Thanks,

So close

Man that is close but is your MH a diesel?

I dont think a Spartan chassis is the same as a P30 Chassis (GM) But I am not certain.

Ignition Key

Let me clarify, I need the ignition key. The key that starts the engine.
When I searched your code, it came up as a door key for an RV

Thanks

I think that is it. I actually recognize the Hbr12A from somewhere.
It occured to me, and if you can verify, my owners manual has all of the keys listed in there with codes and pictures of the keys.
Does you manual have the keys in there?
If you have easy access, can you see if the ignition key is listed in the book? I think it is in the front section.
My MH is about 30 miles from me right now.

Many thanks,
ken

For the ignition lock, it will probably be less hassle and cheaper just to go to Napa and buy a lock cylinder and key. Remove the old cylinder, install the new one, and you're done. Plus, you get 2 keys with the new lock.

Huh?

You guys are killing me.......read the whole thread.

I HAVE ignition key and am not locked out.

I went to GM dealer and they made an ignition key for the column, motor is running fine.

I have touchpad entry lock on door, so I can get in MH and lock / uinlock as needed.

BUT............ I need a key for the door just in case battery goes dead or electronic lock malfunctions.

I also need a key for the basement storage lockers, they too, lock from inside with button, but need key just in case.

I also need a key for the in floor safe, that does not have any buttons and I am indeed locked out of the safe.

All clear now?

I would rather avoid paying a locksmith to make keys. I would prefer to get codes if possible or at least figure out what the code is for the blanks. I can make keys myself, if I can get the blank code

Jeesh......

i don't know about using the vin code but if you pull the locks out, the locksmith fees will be greatly reduced. i don't think they stamp codes on the locks any more. if it has a glove box, that might match the door number. as for the compartments and safe, i'd call the mothership with the vin codes. the safe might have a code number on the cylinder.
