I stand corrected, the wife used Shout and a scrub daddy on the panels and spot cleaning![emoji3061][emoji2957]

Large weep hole covers

Decided to bite the bullet and replace all the large weep hole covers on the windows.
Doing this for me was not to use rivets to put them back on.
A 5-40 screw has a 1/8" diameter same as the rivets. I used the EZ-Coil system to put in the 5-40 coils in the window frames.
I also found black oxide 5-40 torx screws to hold the covers in place. There was one hole that I had to make a Stainless insert due to that at some point in her life it was way over sized for the coil to work. All the others though oversize of the 1/8 were close enough to allow the coil to set properly.

These really need to removed periodically to clean up the window channels of trash that collects in them.

On our way to get on a cruise at Port Canaveral, we visited the Kennedy Space Center.
They have the Atlantis space shuttle along with the Astrovan on display. Here is some photos of her, and in the gift shop, they have a mock up with some original AS parts.

Found the drilled and slotted disk rotors by Dynamic Fraction that I was wanting to install on the rear axle.
Now have them all the way around!

I had to source them from Rockauto and Amazon, due that rock did not have both. Here is the numbers of the rotors and high performance pads for the front. Of course you could use said pads for front and rear. I just wanted the higher heat pads on the front and used my Wagner HD pads on the rear.

DYNAMIC FRICTION 631-48017L Rotor $149.79 Rockauto
DYNAMIC FRICTION 631-48017R Rotor $184.33 Amazon (free ship)

POWER STOP Z36-149 Brake Pads $42.99 Rockauto

Hope this helps, doing a search and will find other suppliers as well!

Hey Peter thanks for the kind words.
This old GM Tool and Die maker is far from that good!
Just like tinkering around with the rig!

Had a visit from Stream3. Jerry had the air conditioner compressor bracket made out of unatanium break in three places. We were able to get it off, and with my old engine from the 310 for a pattern, was able to weld it back up!
Always a great time having wonderful friends stop by.Click image for larger version

I’ve been disappointed with the brake performance, and now getting rotor warp. I’m considering upgrading the hardware and this looks promising. Can you describe how the new set-up feels as the driver?

Right now I'm very happy with the results around town here. Stopping has very much improved, with very little fading.
The pads require a break-in process that went very well.
You need a good stretch of road you can do this, lucky for us there is a 4 lane state road close that don't have much traffic!

We will be taking a 1500+ mile trip later this month, and will let you know how they perform.

That's interesting. That looks like the same AC bracket thats been sitting on my shelf for years. Mine came from an 86 345.
