1987 325 MH Exterior Drawers

My recently purchased 87' 325 MH needed to have all the exterior storage drawer bottoms replaced due to rot.

I had no problem making new pans at my work and they are more robust than new.

I'm realizing now the original problem: water runs off the side and gathers on the bottoms of the drawers. I have drilled drain holes but depending on how the rig sits, the water does not drain.

Has anybody come up with a fix to stop the water from collecting there.

I was thinking of building beveled caps?

Also applying a drip edge above the drawer opening?

Well, now I can't get that link to work. I found it by doing a Google search for "airforums motorhome storage compartment". The solution there was to weld up an entirely new cover for the drawer with a raised lip around the opening. That's outside of my skill set, I got some improvement by caulking the seams where the outside panel meets the cover.
