1979 Airstream Excella, a good buy?

Newbie here! Spotted a 1979 Airstream Excella for $7,900 and have no idea if this is a good buy or not. Photos look fabulous, but you know how that goes.

1979 Airstream Excella 28í motorhome for sale. Around 74K miles. Chevy 454 engine runs, new tires have never been on the road. New suspension airbags. Generator has 450 hours, recently overhauled. Center bath with rear bed. Ready for renovation Ė a great project and a rare find: 1979 was the first year Airstream motorhomes were made. Needs new refrigerator, ceiling A/C and updating.

Not sure if I can post the link to the photos or not, so won't do that.
Thanks for any help!

Yes! the 1979 center bath with the rear panorama windows is a desired model. Depending on the type of tires, that is at least a 1800.- value, airbags hundreds, depending on the rear and/or fronts. 450 hrs on the generator is suspiciously low, at 74k miles you can usually expect the hours to be in 800-1000 range.

Go for it

Thanks, the ad says the generator has been overhauled and tires are brand new. We might have to go take a look at it. Here is a link to the ad: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0812099152881/
