The other ebay 20' (shark cage)

NEWBIES HERE!... Just dicovered this site after buying the Argosy 20 footer (with optional shark cage) that was on ebay a couple of weeks after the one that got trailered to Arkansas.. Interestingly both units have the wrap around rear windows and the serial # are only 16 numbers apart.. Other than a water pump belt problem, it drove from Tulsa OK. to Seattle Wa. (about 2000 miles) with no real problems.. the 454 did consume vast quantities of fossil fuels however.. Have already started doing some refurbishing work to the beast (AKA Blimpo).. And these forums are coming in reeeally handy.. Joe & Linda, in Seattle

Hi Joe and Linda,
Welcome to the forums! I think I saw that "shark cage" argosy on eBay. That one got my attention, just not in the market for a moho at this time. You just can't believe the wealth of info here and the nice folks willing to share it with you. Do take advantage of the "search" feature (right side of the blue line above) to search for previous threads on topics you request. Nice pick off of ebay! Good luck.

No! It's a "go-go" dancer cage! We had great fun watching this auction (can you say "frogs in a blender")!

Check out the photos and the link to the auction listing in this thread!

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome, Joe and Linda! We bid on that moho (ours needs a LOT more work than we were led to believe) but you wanted it more than we did. Congrats - the 20'ers are SO COOL! I know you will love it. Blimpo is a cute name! We haven't figured out what to call ours yet. I told Brad I wanted to do the inside in a space-ship theme. He wasn't terribly amused.

Good luck with it! I'm sad you're so far away but maybe we can all have a little bubble convention one of these years.

Susan

PS - Brad says our chassis serial number is 50 off yours.

Hmmm...Seems I can't quote this morning. Susan, why not name it "Blimpette"? Or the "20 foot toaster"?

Hey Terry! I'm having issues this morning as well - double posts and stuff.

Hmmm - you've got me thinking... Toasty might be a good name. Bubble has been coming to mind, too, but I think I will have to wait and see what sort of personality he develops before I name him. Right now Ramblin' Wreck is more appropriate...

Susan
