Salvage Yards??

Is there any salvage yards that specialize in Airstream and Argosy campers and motorhomes. Have found 2 Argosy motorhomes both need some parts that would work fine from a salvage unit. Anybody out there know of any place ,hopefully in the midwest.

Check the classifieds on this forum. I think I saw an Argosy for parts.
You will not have much luck with most RV salvage yards. I've been through the stock at Arizona RV Salvage and there's almost zip. Colaw's is another but they don't have much older stuff (I gather). Maybe some in N. Florida I hear tell.

I just used Colaws for a couple of odd-ball parts. Got 'em in less than a week and very reasonably priced for vintage parts. Nice folks, easy deal. See my last post here: http://www.airforums.com/forum...-15132-14.html

I have also used Cowlaws they always seem to have several wrecked Airstreams in the yard.
As with most salvage yards what they have today may not be there tomorrow.

What parts are you looking for, Argy specific I assume? Forum member Ankornuta mentioned in his thread that he was going to an RV salvage yard somewhere near Phoenix to look around. You might PM him and get the specifics.
