Our Argosy is home!
We went today and drove our 1978 Argosy 28 home. Trip was 220 miles and she did well. She as been sitting for a while and needs a tune up but she made the trip just fine. Now I can't wait to get started cleaning, fixing and making her pretty again!

The 28' Argosy is my absolute favourite MH ever built by Airstream. One day, when I have some ready play money, I will get myself one of these, in addition to the family trailer.
Would you care to post some interior pictures?

I am one of the few people who actually really like these interiors - with perhaps a few modifications, like a new floor, to interrupt the relentless green.
There's another family renovating a similar Argosy, and sharing the journey on this forum, they are rescuing the original orange upholstery. It looks fantastic.

I have the relentless orange! If anyone finds a source for orange corduroy upholstery fabric, please let me know!
I am delighted that your coach made it home! I love the FOUR vista view windows up front. That is only on the Argosy 28. The Airstream 28's had upper cabinets and no vista view windows.

The Vista windows is what intrigued me to go look at ours. I love it or at least I will when I get all the cleaning done and the renovations completed.
I think I could deal with the orange easier than the hippie green. Haven't decided for sure what theme I am going to use but most likely primitive/rustic lodge.

You should talk to my wife
We just had vinyl flooring put into our trailer that looks almost exactly like barnboard. You almost have to feel it to realize it's not real wood. I was blown away when we first saw it.
We're re-upholstering sofa/dinette/chair with a lovely grey fabric reminiscent of old army blankets. On the beds there are quilts and vintage Hudson's Bay blankets. It's a very Canadian trailer.

COngrat's on your beautiful find LisaM! but I have to say I also love the green but the relentlessness of it I totally understand as ours is also relentless in orange. i'd trade the orange for the green, at least the green is a cool color, whereas the orange is hot and so is GA. :P however, just changing the curtains made a huge difference.
If you're already thinking about changing the floor that will make a difference and if/when you add curtains I'd say use fabric with multiple colors that incorporate the green but aren't green. our curtains added blue so I'll use a few blue touches to relieve the heat wave. keep in mind that these pics are all still a work in progress...

Thanks, I have to say the orange isn't much better than the green but I think I could deal with it better. But my plans are to go with more neutral colors. My husband is a really good carpenter and can do anything I get in my mind and is good at it.
I will post as we go along. I went to Lowes today to get ideas on colors, counters, lighting etc. I have lots of before pictures so they can be used for comparison when we are done. I can't wait. I cleaned yesterday for 15 hrs. (I am meticulous about every nook and cranny) and of coarse I spent a lot of time day dreaming and planning.
I am learning and figuring out things about it as I go. I have plans in my head, just gotta get them worked out and find the stuff I need to do them.
