I was looking for some information on our Argosy motorhome and came across this NHTSA Argosy recall notice. I had been wondering why the floor in front of the refrigerator opening had been opened up and screen mesh installed. This explains it.
The other interesting item I noticed was the number of units affected which is listed as 5,276. The recall is only for motorhomes so does that mean from 1974 to 1978 Airstream built and sold 5,276 Argosy's

. I was under the impression from what I've read elsewhere on the forum is there were likely only 2,000 to 3,000 total Argosy and Classic motorhomes built over the years. So, just how many Argosy's motorhomes were built?
