My question is: is it possible to replace only the damaged portions of the sub floor or is a shell off necessary.? I can’t seem to find a thread on a shell off on an airstream MH. Thank you!

Take a look at Bella's thread...

Cliff, thank you very much, i just drew a sigh of relief...however if there are evident signs of water infiltration we will take it from there.
Ciao!

Can anyone tell me where the main wiring runs through the coach. I have a direct short on circuit 1, purple wire. Does it run along the roof?

Yes, there is a main bundle that runs down the center of the roof and branches off as needed to various locations.
There are rivets holding the center panel in place but once the rivets are removed you pull down on the center of the panel at one end and work your way to the other end. Best to have at least two people involved when performing this task.

As a suggestion you might consider coating the wood with a good quality spar varnish. That will help keep it from rotting away, especially since it is open to the outside through the fridge louvers.

Don’t mind the construction mess.
Also installed the replacement exhaust fan in the bathroom. Had shipped all the way from Australia. Almost identical from the original Dometic GY 11.

Hi,
I am also following this thread. Is your rear bedroom original or did you modify the layout? I am asking because i want to move my mid twins to the rear and the bathroom to the middle. Is yours a 28ft? Would you mind posting photos of the interior?
Thanks very much!!

Another piece of the puzzle repaired.
Now on to either repairing the original AC or replacing.

Another question for owners of these fine coaches. Since the original carpet has been removed the wife and I are deciding on replacing again with carpet or a vinyl flooring. For those that replaced with vinyl flooring was the noise level increased while traveling?

WHAT WAS THAT! WHAT NOISE?[emoji23]
Trust me, you're not going to notice a noticeable difference. My personal opinion is to go with LVP, or LVT. Easily replaced if damaged, extremely durable, easy to clean, and will not mold.
Cheers

Those with a 77 28’ would you mind telling me what the 4 switches at the door control? My top switch leads to the lights above the couch and dinette but nothing else seems to do anything.

One should control the one section of interior lights; one maybe controls another section of interior lights around the kitchen area; one should be your outside light; the last one has me befuddled.
Cheers

The four switches by the door on my 77 20’ are:
1. Top turns on the brighter set of lights over the dinette.
2. Second from the top turns on the dimmer set of light over the dinette.
3. Third from the top turns on the “scare” or bright light on the outside beside the door.
4. Fourth from the top turns on the “porch” light above door on the outside.

This non stop Florida heat must be getting to me, I totally forgot about the outside lights.
On a side note my new fridge is throwing an error code. Of course it’s an error that requires you to see “your authorized dealer”

A bit more progress over the last few weeks. Fridge control board was replaced, tech thought the original converter was the culprit but covered it under warranty anyways. Just to be safe I went ahead and replaced it. Lights and fans do run a lot brighter and quicker now. So even though it was putting out the correct volts I’m thinking there wasn’t any amperage behind it.
The cockpit was put back together with new insulation, now hunting for a brown automotive carpet to finish it off.
Got the generator running with a new facet pump. I might need to replace the isolators, cause it rumbles the coach like I’m in a train. Haha
