And that unit had been restored, inside and out not someone trying to 'polish some value' into it.

The overall condition, not running or driving for years, "May Pop tires", seller's location and seller's that do not know anything about the RV does not support their asking price in any form or fashion and I'll be they know it!
The ad says make offer!
It will most likely take a good while before the seller's finally get to that $5K or less price however they will be lucky to get $5K for that Argosy in that condition.

It would be nice if the last Argosy ever made was a 20ft.....because it would be the last 20ft motorhome Airstream ever made!

Its interesting how they flipped the layout between 1977 and 1978, having the fridge on the drivers side really opens up the passenger side as useful space if remodeling.
I like it!

I noticed that as well and I like the arrangement better than Peanut's layout.

I have to agree Tony, It's just not the same without the bed in the back and curvy windows.

That one seems to have damage to both wheel wells on the passenger side.
Sometime in the near future we're going to find out whether pano windows can be installed in a coach that currently has a single rear window. I'm betting they will fit right in
Brad

Welcome to the forum. No issue with being a newbie but you may get a better response if you post in the trailer section. The electrical systems on the old motorhomes are quiet different from a new trailer.

I am keeping my fingers crossed those windows are good enough to use! I bought them as spares from the totaled 310 that had one complete side wiped out!

Just heard from the owner.
They bought it locally more than 2 years ago. They tried to drive it and the tires came apart so ended up getting it towed to their home. Has not been driven or started since. No batteries and Bad fuel they say. They did install new tires.
They started stripping the rear paint with the idea of polishing her, but stopped. They also removed everything for the "restoration" and threw it all out: fabric gone, carpet gone, dinette and benches gone, everything gone.
Except:
Has the "original seats", but only the "metal part".
Has the original "wood steering wheel", -maybe someone talked the Chevrolet CPO into procuring the same teak wood option that was available for the C2 Corvettes 10 years earlier?
They said "It may be a bit of work, but it will really be worth it". Feel free to insert comment.
At least the price is non negotiable.
It is 4 hours from me, each way. I'm still inclined to go take a look, but I'm busy for the next few days.
