Just bought my first Argosy for $120!

That said it doesn't run supposedly because of a broken radiator. The interior is great and all original. A few leaks here and there but no mouse terds unlike our other airstream! Floor under cupboards etc seems to be in great shape from poking around as much as I could while in there. It needs new window moulding badly and I understand I can get that from Inland RV so I think im set there.

I purchased it in Olympia WA and I live in Portland so its currently being towed down to my location. Tires look original and nasty with a million dry rot cracks but still hold air. Hoping that the tow truck will make it on those babies. What I need to know on that front is size for replacements? Anyone have ideas for the front and rears? Someone mentioned also replacing the rims with a different size that would accommodate a greater variety of tire choices.

Here are some pictures. When were done with this project we will use it to tow our 1965 30ft airstream trailer. What a sight that will be!

The photos didn't make it into the post. Unless it's an Argosy 20, most of the motor homes take 8R19.5 tires. Most Argosy 20's take 16 or 16.5 inch tires.

No images Thats strange? They show up in my firefox but not IE. I did a refresh in firefox and they are still there. I just linked to them in my other photo gallery. Is their a size limitation or something else thats preventing them from being shown?

Thanks

Did it come out of Lacey? Rumor is there are lots of old AS rotting away up there that belong to folks who are too old to use them anymore, but retain ownership so they can stay in the club and live in Land Yacht Harbor.

I'd love to see a $120 Argosy motor home, but the pics aren't showing up. It may very well be the size or that your gallery is restricted. You can go to the how to post a photo (not sure of the exact title) and see if there is anything incorrect with the posting.

On edit:
I see the one photo in post #7.

Supposedly they are. The owner said he had it running and very shortly noticed the radiator spewing fluid everywhere so they shut it down. That was 2 years ago and it hasn't been touched since so well see. Thankfully 454 parts are cheap.

Yes thats exactly where its from. We were taking our 31 ft airstream trailer up north to have some winter fun and stopped at the land yacht harbor for a stay. There are a ton of airstreams there and thats where we found it.
