drain tubes?

I am replacing some parts of my floor ,75 26' Argosy MH. I was cutting the remaining wood out of the chanel and found a plastic tube that runs up between the windows and comes out in the small storage compartment over the rear windows. It looks like a drain, but for what? I also have a bigger hole near the door,I think this might have been a drain for the AC but there is no hose ,there was a plastic bump out cover, down on the floor,so the hose could jog around the rim chanel, and the wall is cut open insulation was parted too. Any body have any idea If the AC drain would go there?

thanks to everybody again

Doug

Doug, I am not sure about your trailer. On my 75 TW the AC drain runs from the unit and down the street side inner wall. It comes out the bottom of the trailer just in front of the wheels. Many of the other trailers of this vintage are the same.

Good question. I don't think it is a FORBIDDEN question however. My answer, unfortunately, is "I have no idea". Sorry 'bout that.

What year and length is the trailer?

What make and model AC?

Let's assume whatever AC came in it from the factory.

Assuming is not a good idea when there is trouble.

Different years use different setups.

I think he said it was a 1975, 26 foot Argosy MH (motor home)? Is it possible that the motor homes had two AC units in those days? I'd like to see a couple of pictures of the two tubes. The front one does make sense as the AC drain. The rear one is a mystery to me. ANy Argosy MH owners out there?

"Isn't anybody gonna help that poor man"?

As much fun as this has been to read, I hope someone out there has an answer.

The drain line goes through the wall from 1969 and newer.

The drain tube usually is behind the wheel on the left side in the trailers.

Hi thanks for all your responces I gotta learn to relax more.I had about given up on getting any help.
Pictures,I an working on that,I dont know how yet.
I figured out the rear tube! I looked on my 'parts'74-24ft and the thermometer senser caliper tube goes down to the outside inside it.
the other one was about 1+inch diameter and came out curb side in front of the door, it must be a drain but what happened to the pipe/tube? Why would any one remove it? I think i will pull out the door switches and see if there is any pipe in there.
I dont know what brand ac it is I will look, I think its orignal

Another thing :What kind of door latch would a 75 MH have? Are they repairable?

thanks again

Doug

Doug, also when you post late at night or at a busy posting time your post will perk down through the portal list of new posts rather fast. If you're posting in the MH section it is very likely that only MH members will see it after it falls off the bottom of the portal list.
My 84 moho had drain lines coming down the wall in the head from the bus type a/c that was tossed when I got it home. It also had coolant hoses from the big condenssor fan assembly in the belly....also tossed.
