Argosy serial no.

I posted this on an Airstream thread by accident the other day, figured I'd have a better response if I posted on the right forum.

I am trying to locate the Argosy serial number on my 77 24ft. motorhome. I was told that I would find a placard on the dash visible from the windshield looking in on the driver side. I have looked and the placard is missing. I can see where it was but it is gone. Is there any other place where the Argosy serial number would be located?


Any help would be appreciated.

I wish I could help you. I had a '78 24' Argosy and it had the same missing placard. My '83 AS 310 was the same, no card. There probably would be two different numbers, one for the P 30 chassis from Chev, and the other from Argosy. Look real carefully under the hood access for a riveted metal panel there.

Otherwise, someone else surely should know.
