Argosy MH 454 water pump.

I'm hoping an Argosy MH owner can tell me whether the water pump on the 454 motor is the short version or the long version. I need to buy one for the 454 we're rebuilding and would like to buy the right one the first time instead of the second time like I usually do .

How about it, anyone have the answer to this one?!

Thanks,

Brad

I have just seen this post and have had to ask myself the same question recently with my Argosy 24 the same age as yours. I measured the water pump and it turns out to be the long version. It's measured from block to pulley flange, if it's under 6 inches its short, over 7 it's long. Mine is a standard 454 so hope this isn't too late for you.
Cheers, Keith
