Need to replace my Bad Dometic 4.5 cu ft. Dissembled and removed the left side wall took all the screws out on left side and two bolts on the rear. Also removed the series of screws on the other side inside closet. Still won't budge. Thanks
There are screws on the under side of the counter, and a screw or two at the top of the fridge, against the inside of the body. These are a real pain to get to.

I've talked with John and he said there was an extremely tight fit between the sidewalls and the fridge. He used lots of WD40 or LPS-1 for lube -- I forget which.
Thanks for the comments amd advise. Looking at it again it looks like it is also secured on the right side and may have to remove interior wall also. What a pain. BTW this on a 1975 Argosy 20ft MH.
Have you ever been frustrated working on something and come back the next day and it works out great? Being patient and removing only the small storage area above it and it finally came out. Now I can clean up the area seal and paint the floor it was under and the stand the frig sat on. Currently waiting for it's Dometic replacement to come. Thanks everyone. Booyah!
I recently removed the fridge from my 1973 Excello. The fridge is just reaward from the salon with a thin bulkhead wall seperating the two. This wall was removed giving easy access to the box. The shelving unit above was screwed to it with some backer boards. The screws were easily found by simply opening the cabinets. The was a corner metal brace on the right side of the box that was screwed into the floor and the right side on the box. There was one final metal strap toward the to of the box securing it to the rear wall. There were all held with the small shet metal screws that are used in many of the applications in these units. Good luck and let me know if that helps.
Defelice, This was the very same way it was secured. Multiple screws on the side plus two rivets on top of refrigerator to drill out. The only disappointment was the shelf just above the frig is orange Formica. It was rotted on the back closest to the vent. Will replace. I learned it's probably a good this to seal off the exterior service door with louvers to keep the moisture/humidity out when not in use. Thanks for the experiences.
If one needed to get inside the vent, rather than work on the fridge itself, would there be a possibility of cleaning out, say, a wasp nest in the vent without removing the whole darn fridge?
I'm guessing not, since I see no way of removing the vent cover from the outside.
