Talking '76 Argosy 28' MO interior lighting ?

Hi folks
I recently got a bargain in this MO. Going thru it now fixing things. The long
strip light fixture has a bad ground some where in it, and I am baffled as how to get into it without tearing it up.
It has a one piece base with a plastic grill over the bulbs. I cannot get this out to reach the bulbs. Any one have any experiance with this.
BTW, I am an aircraft mechanic and love working on the Argosy. the construction is very much like a plane.

if your 76 is the same as my 78, which more than likley is, the plastic grill, " mine is more like a lens opaque white" by gently bending pulls out. as you no doubt know, old plastic breaks easily

the plastic grill how i removed mine in my 76 was like a flex issue of grill pushing it back and flexing the front then it should po out.hope this helps

I do it the easy way and have my wife remove and install the covers!

Wingnut it looks like you're not to far from us. We live in Richmond KY, just moved there last October from Arkansas (or should I say we're still moving there from Arkansas!).

There is a ralley on April 16th to the 19th about 67 miles from you at the Natural Bridge State Park. You can check out the ralley here. http://www.airforums.com/forums/cale...-16;&e=479&c=1

We plan on attending in our 310 Motorhome since the Argosy probably won't be done by then.

Brad
