75 26 Ft Argosy Rejuvenation
I haven't posted in awhile but I have been busy, my garage looks like an Argosy has exploded in there. First the rear lights, well they all work correctly! They are sealed up and don’t leak. I ended up making my own version of shortened Argosy taillight housings. I still need to find some flexible aluminum or aluminum like trim for a bezel. I will post a picture. I have finished pulling everything out. It has been so hot here I have been working inside on the cushion and mattress covers. I went with buffalo checks on the cushions and dinette/sofa and ticking stripe for the mattress covers. I removed all the curtain clips from the old drapes, 20 mule team and Oxy took care of the yellow, now I just need to sew them on the new curtains. I am sewing the hallway divider curtain. I haven’t decided on shades yet, may go with tinted windows. I try to work on the coach a little each evening when it cools off a little. Still scraping ancient foam rubber like stuff off the walls
In the bedroom. I took out some walls and shortened the kitchen base cabinet to 48 inches. Now I need to narrow down the right rear closet to match the one on the left, this will give me six inches length in the bathroom, that is like miles in this little thing. PEX plumbing is my next inside project. I noticed the light fixtures I bought from camping world to replace the two ceiling lights have two wires and there is only one where I removed the old fixtures. Any ideas about that? What do I do with that extra white wire on the new lights? I plugged in the old fridge it is keeping my sweet tea cold😎

The white wire is likely the ground wire. There weren't any instructions with the lights?
I've got to admit, looking at pictures that are upside down leaves my mind in a jumble!

Thanks for the quick response. The directions were in Chinese, or rather Chinese idea of instructions. Basically said to attach the wires on the lights to the wires from the old fixture. Also said if it was in a new location, to call your dealer for instructions. Can I just attach the white ground wire to any metal surface inside the light base?
My phone lets me turn it upside down to view upside down pictures right side up. I will try taking the pictures upside down?

That old foam stuff that was under the carpeted walls in the bed room is a b-kitty to scrape off and then there is the nasty dried glue under that. Anyone know of a good solvent to take it off without melting the covering on the wall? Ever so grateful.

As long as the white wire is grounded to the shell in some manner you should be good to go.

Goof Off would be the first thing I would try. It does a great job removing glue residue. I've got a can of it and will give it a try on some scrap interior aluminum skin. I'll let you know how it works out.

Upside down
Was the trailer upside down when you bought it or did you do that to dump out all the dust? What did you use to turn it over?

Actually, I noticed I was getting these thumbs up from the drivers passing me when I was bringing her home. I thought it was “okay” like they liked it, maybe they were trying to tell me it was upside down and I hadn’t noticed. Everything else has been screwy. (I planned on being done by June 15th, Lol
