'74 Argosy 20' MH - stripped... value?

I love the look of the small Argosy MHs. I have found a guy selling two Argosy 20' MH. Both are stripped inside because he turned them into moblie food service vehicles. Sounds like one was up and running and the other not....

Anyone know of a ballpark figure to offer on stripped out units? I've seen the condition vs. value page on trailers... but have found these MH, and specifically the small 20' ones I like harder to find.

I know without looking at them, and getting more details it's hard to give a good estimate, but I don't want to drive 3hrs if he's way off base. His starting asking price on the two is $9k and $7k... I think that is to to sell the cooking equipment in them as well, so I'm trying to figure out an offer to counter with, and let him keep all the cooking equipment and just buy the stripped MH.

Sorry if this one is too vague... haha. But hopefully if it is, and you're reading this you at least like to look at old Argosy MH so here are some pics of what he's selling. I will ask for more pictures if the proper value of a stripped MH is somewhere I think we could come to an agreement, and then maybe go from there:

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Like in 9.000$ and 7.000$....huh ?

Hi Rob
I'm no expert but from all I've seen looking for a
MH myself...Craiglist...Ebay...everywhere...
and from what I've read here in the forum
and from what I've see in the forum classified,
those figures are waaaaaaaay off.
Judging from the pictures ( it really looks horrible )
and the fact that one of them can't even drive, I'd be tempted to say
that that there's one zero too many on each of those prize-tags.

I understand that the shorter ones goes for a slightly higher prize
BUT for a cheaper prize than one of those things you have been offered
I bought a nice functional Argosy in great shape CLICK
and most others I've read about here made much sweeter deals
than I did.

Compare to the classified here CLICK.
and ...er.....I have no intention of putting down any of the sellers
but some of those prizes are....erhhh.....rather optimistic, I'd say.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I do think his prices are high, but that is for them with all the cooking equipment inside them. I haven't asked him for details on the equipment as I have no intention of trying to buy these with all that in them, but based on what a friend just bought a stainless smoker for recently I know the equipment CAN cost a bit... he said in his ad that he was open to offers without the equipment in them... so I was curious on a good price to offer for them stripped. And I have seen some larger Argosys for a great price, but for some reason I'm stuck on the little ones haha.

However, two different people responded to our wanted ad for an Airstrem TT (we were both open to EITHER a vintage airstream trailer or one of these [20 ft only] Argosy MHs) so if we buy one of the trailers this weekend the point will be moot as I couldn't afford both haha.

At any rate, I think I'll check the trailers out before proceeding with getting any more info on these two.

Thanks again for the input.

Rob
