The bolt pattern for the Argosy is the same 8-bolt pattern as used on the Chevy 1-ton trucks of the 70s and 80s. If I'm not mistaken the original rim size was 16.5" however any 16" GM dually wheel should work as well.

On our 20' Argosy motorohome we traded the 16.5" wheels for some 16" wheels. The 16" wheels are easier to buy tires for and a cheaper as well.

Hope this answers your question.

Brad

Hi, count the lugs; Seems to have the same 10 lug pattern that my 1986 P-30 truck had. GM used five lugs on the front wheels and all ten on the rear. My P-30 had 19.5" wheels.

I just checked a picture of a 76 Argosy 28' that had 5 lug front and 10 lug rear wheels. That was a surprise for me as I had thought most of the Argosy motorhomes I've been look at had 8 lug wheels like our 74 20' Argosy motorhome.

Also I didn't notice the original post mentioned 19.5" tires which is a dead give away for 10 bolt wheels.

Live and learn!

The only info I could find doing a quick Google search was the following website: "Centramatic Automatic Truck Wheel Balancers will save you tires.Trucks and Hummers, wheel balancer, tire balancer, Centramatic, tire balancer for horse trailers, tire balancing, wheel balance, spin balance, tire rotation,18 wheeler, tire tread, wheel weigh
They list the Chevy P30 chassis with the 19.5 wheels as having a 7.25" bolt pattern.

That sure does seem like a small bolt circle pattern though. I would measure before I would buy anything for your wheels.

rv-n, Welcome. The bolt pattern is determined by measuring the diameter of an imaginary circle drawn though the center of the wheel lugs.

I hope this helps, Roger
