Thanks, I have a gate at the house with a top bar at 10', so there is hope !! I am bringing the Argosy home to CA from AZ next weekend, and would prefer not to have to raise the bar.

On your arrival put the nose of the trailer just through the gate and then walk away and look from a distance at how it lines up. 10' should be no problem. I've seen one near A/C collision where there was a significant slope to a garage apron right at a 10' garage door. We moved the rig over a few feet and it went through nicely. A dirt floor was involved but the apron slope was the larger factor.

I think we are talking about a Motor Home and not a trailer. Aren't they taller?

Richard,

Yes they are taller. I think that he is looking at 12 13 feet. A 10 foot gate will be too short.

Thanks everyone, the MOTORHOME is in San Diego and is about 10'2" (122 inches) to the top of the AC. I was able to adjust the top bar enough to make it in the driveway. Ran great from Scottsdale to San Diego, about 8.6 mpg. While I was doing the wheel bearings, oil change and transmission filter, my wife was loading it with decor things to go camping. Looks like there was a fire in the stove and an dry chem extinguisher was used to put it out. Tomorrow heck the propane sytems and polish it and it is ready to go camping.

Hello Bonita Farms...From Del Mar!

Hello...
Did you by chance buy the 24' Airstream on an ebay auction that ended a few weeks ago? I had a bid on that as well.
I live in Del Mar and found another very clean 24' Argosy in Northern California that I have bought! I likely won't go north to pick it up until next month.
I would enjoy connecting with you to share ideas and restoration thoughts...heck we could start our own San Diego Argosy MH caravan!
My email off the list is: jbsails@gmail.com

Best,
Joe Balla
