1967-1972 Chev-GMC Truck Factory Assembly Instruction Manual
Not sure how much of this (if any) crosses over to the early Argosy Motorhomes - it's for the light trucks etc. Either way, it's a pretty fine effort from the peeps over on the Chevy truck forum

Thanks for your consideration Nick.
You’re right, there is an idiot out here that’s interested in ‘67-’72 GMJunk.
I’m building a same-year tow car for my 1968 Globe Trotter. The 68GT is fixed-up okay, so on to the Tow Vehicle....
1968 K10 (4WD) Suburban, Came from Freemont factory, as “High Torque” 327 4-speed, 4-barrel, dual exhaust, 3.73 axles. Has all its original factory tint glass, most of its original 503 green paint, and cargo doors.
“Field Find” last driven in 1984, recovered from Montana Blackfeet Reservation. All its numbers are correct. Seller swears by the 72,000mi odometer. Survivor restoration underway.
So far It’s looking 100% original except for some “High-Schooling” (by me) limited to Center Line auto-drag wheels and Corvette valve covers, along with a home-made period correct step-bumper I built for weight-distributed towing. Modernized the charge system too.
This summer it drove for the first time in 38 years. Purrs like a kitten, and goes like mad.
So again, thanks. There’s a surprising number of Suburban specific pages.
Page 155 (of over a thousand) will help with finding missing lock parts. Great addition to my collection of 1968 brochures and manuals. The chevy camper brochure explains the suburban as a “passenger/utility” vehicle.
I hope this thread gets more views, and folks appreciate the artwork in this old manual. The beauty in these illustrations, is that they’re hand-drawn by draftsmen. Triangles, french curves, squares, scales, toothy drafting bond/vellum matched to chosen graphite hardness... and a burning Pall Mall in an ashtray full of butts.

Who makes that 2 burner stove I see? I have been trying to find one to replace my 3 burner to gain counter space.

stove-top
I don't know who actually makes it, but there's dozens of the same stove rebranded with different names on eBay if you search "2 burner gas cooktop".

[LEFT] Thanks for your consideration Nick. [SIZE=1]
Glad it helped. As you say, it's a work of art by the people who originally put it together and also the folks on the Chevy forum who scan so many amazing documents and make them available decades later. In particular, hats off to Hatzie - you should check out his page if not already across his stuff.

'67-'72 is a nice generation. They have muscle-car attitude. Easy on the eyes, lots of them still in use, and plenty of parts available.
Simple to work on... and they don't "throw codes"
When was the last time anyone used a dwell meter?? Been about forty years since I used mine. Lucky for me that's a shred of the sixties I still remember.

I still have those in my tool box. Haven't used them in a long while.

Found my Xeon timing light buried in a disused toolbox drawer. No clue if it even still works, and modern engine systems don’t have ignition points that you use a dwell meter to set.
We’re well beyond simpler technology, I suspect. (Thank the Gods…and the total lack of grease stains on my fingers on the weekends)
