12V wiring

Does anyone have a diagram of the complete 12v system. I'm mainly concerned with how the ignition switch ties in with the batteries. I have the wiring diagram from the manual but it is not detailed enough. It appears as if someone has added a diode isolator in some half 'butt' manner and it is hard to follow.

For the past year I have had jumpers connected to get the ignition on but I would like to fix it the right way.

To the best of my knowledge there no single wiring diagram that covers everything. I know on my 74 there is nothing available from airstream. I've been slowly creating my own diagram. Time consuming and frustrating to say the least.

Sorry I can't help.

I spent some time over the past few days taking out the 'enhanced' wiring and bringing it back to something simple. My plan is to have two charging isolators, one for the alternator and the other for my new inverter. I connected the dash electrical to the main starter battery for the time being. Not sure if I will connect it back to the coach batteries once I install the isolators, that's how it previously was.

I can't speak about the Argosy but on my Airstream the GM wiring and the Airstream wiring join in a couple of looms to the left of the engine under the drivers seat. There are also a couple of fusible links in the looms. There are decent GM diagrams and decent Airstream diagrams but I have never found anything on where the two systems join. I had intermittent starting problems, entire dash was dead, and then all of a sudden it would come alive. I found a fusible link that had been replaced previously but seemed to be breaking down. I replaced it with a circuit breaker and everything has been fine since.
