water leak

Our 1971 Land Yacht has a small leak around the front window during a heavy steady rain. Can I caulk around the window or should the window be removed and resealed? I have looked for any obvious breach but all appears normal. Is this a common problem? Help!

Check the gaskets on the windows, access doors and the entrance door. Unless they have been replaced, they have been shot years ago.

Also check the sewer vent pipe cover gaskets, as they only last 2 to 3 years.

Window leaks are almost due to faulty gaskets.

Also, a better gasket is now available instead of the double flared gasket and is very easy to install.
