Own 1968 Sovereign Land Yacht Am going to try to restore after years of neglect. Need to know if I should strip to metal and polish or paint? Also need to replace 2 curved side windows which were replaced with plexiglass. Where can I find Corning replacements? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Darrell

Hello, I have a 68 Sovereign and Vintage trailer supply has the glass you need. Also I would go with polish, strip the clear coat and polish, I did that 9 years ago and still polish.

Send a message via Yahoo to Cat
For other info on where to get a specific item, call Airstream at 937-596-6111, and another resource is Andy (a Forum member too), who owns an Airstream dealership---and I've bought several items from him I couldn't find elsewhere. His toll-free # is 800-877-7311.

Have fun? My book will come out in about 5 years...a long time...but I've just started it---sorry.

Darrell, Hi! Welcome to the forums! You will also find that Andy R. at InlandRV.com has curved replacement glass for your year trailer (Made by Airstream). Check his web site for sizes and prices. I think the shipping charges will be less as they are in CA vs. Vintagetrailersupply.com in New Hampshire. You can see prices on both sites but Steve H. at VTS guarantees all the glass he sells reguardless of how it breaks! Hope this helps as they are both excellent vendors. As far a strip and polish or leave as is That is a personal choice. Just remember once you strip and polish you must polish at least twice a year thereafter and possibly more depending on weather and if trailer is exposed to sand/wind or salt spray etc. Ed

Try Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!. I've purchased a few items from them in restoring my trailer, and I know they carry the glass.
