What year started SS

We have finally narrowed our picks down to the 25FB or the 25 SS six sleeper. These seem to be the best floor plans for us. We have one child right now and one on the way. Can anyone tell me in what year did Airstream start making the 25 SS six sleeper?

Thank you

Silvertwinkie has an '04 SS Safari. We can run this like an auction. Anybody know of earlier years?

Look carefully and decide for yourself if the SS corner bed is right for you. With the dinette & pull-out couch I feel that the FB can hold just as many quite small children as the SS. Neither will fill the bill after about age 10 when two kids won't fit on such a narrow bed. Four children under your elbows could make both the FB & SS seem tight on a rainy day.

There weren't many 25' FB models produced in spring '05 with '05 year tags on them. Production got a bit more serious for '06 models. Mine has a 'born on' date of August 8, 2005 IIRC.

We have a 25' FB and think that it would be MUCH more comfortable for a family of four than a six sleeper. For a very short time, we had a floor plan with the slant (angle)bathroom floor plan. Then, the corner bed was really small. The 25' FB would sleep four adults very comfortably. The long sofa under the tv pulls out, if you want to make that bed larger. Good luck! Airstreams are great!
