What First?

We have a 2019 16', that after toying with getting a 20' have decided to keep.
Those who own one of these, what is the upgrade that made the best sense? What upgrade that you couldn't live without.
I'm thinking battery and electronics. It has the stock size 24 deep discharge battery, and I think upgrading to a Lith-Iron makes sense. It needs a dc-ac inverter. Charger upgrade?

I think what first depends on you. For example, if you're going to always be hooked up at full service campgrounds, you don't need the battery upgrade. For me, I boondock, but for short periods and I am camping, i.e. not using my hairdryer, furnace, a/c etc. What I couldn't live with, again this is just me, was the interior decor. I recovered the cushions, took down the privacy screen and replaced it with a cotton duck curtain plus another one across the bedroom opening, took out the microwave, replaced all curtains with (pretty ) ones that I made, replaced the dinette with a pretty wood butcher block one that comes apart so I can also have a smaller "ledge" for a few things and not have that big table top if I don't need it. The battery upgrade and more solar panels is happening...some day. Others on my list: compostable toilet maybe and lift kit. I'm sure others who have more mileage and other experiences will chime in with some good thoughts.

Good point.
I like to boondock. Based on discussions with the dealer, I installed 200 W of solar panels on the roof and two regular 225 AH 6 V batteries. The only thing I run out of now is water.
But Kim's Bambi sounds a whole lot prettier.

Since you are asking about batteries I'lll *assume* that you play around off grid enough for upgrades to make sense.

First on the list would be solar. If you don't already have that "maxed out", it's going to change things more than different batteries.

If you *do* go lithium, changing out the converter / charger should be part of the plan. If you already have solar, you may fiddle the solar controller you have or you might replace it.

Inverters are wonderful, however they gobble power like crazy. First step would be to see if you can get by without 120V.

Compared to a tent, *all* of these trailers last a really long time in terms of water and power We spent a lot of time camping in tents. Some of it was for weeks at a stretch. There are always ways to "optimize" and stretch how long you can be out.
