Thermostat upgrade

Performed my first real modification today. Replaced the Dometic manual thermostat with a Honeywell digital. Very simple 2 wire transfer. Now I get to wait until it’s cold again to see it work.

It should work very well!

We did this a couple of years ago and it's very nice to be able to set an actual temperature instead of guessing. I thought seriously of using a set-back thermostat so that the furnace would turn down at night and automatically turn on just before time to get up, but I figured that would be complete overkill.

any household digital model will work

the old analog ones with a mercury bulb will not as they expect the floor and wall to be level
