There's been several examples on the web, youtube included, in my research that shows a eu2200i able to run a 13.5k BTU A/C without easystart. So a 12.5k A/C is possible. Can't say 100% for certain as it's a matter of margin, but if there's any 2000W class generator that will do it, an eu2200i will have the best chance. Go for it!

What Bob is saying is that you'll want to pay attention to the converter. You'll want to turn it off if you're trying to run the A/C with a 2000W generator.
I do the same on mine when running my 13.5k A/C on my eu2200i by turning off breaker #2, and making sure not to run any other high power 120V devices, e.g. microwave. Works great and a better compromise IMO, than dragging around a 3000W+ class generator, for the way I use my trailer.
