Segment Protectors

I recently installed segment protectors on my 22 Sport. I ordered them from the dealer and took approximately 2 weeks to come in. The dealer informed me that the only protectors that are available for the 22 Sport are the “European Style”, the type that are permanently bolted on using well nuts, the expandable rubber nuts. I was told that the hinged style wouldn’t fit because of the trailer being narrower than the other models. No instructions came with the protectors, so I was told to use the video on YouTube for instructions. These protectors were smaller than the ones on the video and they didn’t have pre-drilled holes in them like on the video, however there were a lot of good suggestions on installing them. First side took approximately 3 hours to install because of double and triple checking drill points, other side about 2 hours. It’s very unnerving drilling 1/2” holes into the aluminum skin. Very pleased with the outcome.

Looks good! Congrats. Ours came with the hinged, taller version - which looks a little too big to my eye. I like yours a lot.
