Satillite TV on a Sport

Has anyone with a 16' Sport tried to install a satillite TV? I'd like to know how that would work. Where the receiver could be located. Does the exterior cable inlet work with a satillite antenna?

Hi airabel,

I have a 22fb and the external cable works for the satellite. I connect it inside to a receiver.

Im curious also in my 16 having satellite

I would get a carry out unit with the receiver probably hung with stick on 3m coat hooks near the tv and install cable as needed

Let me know your outcome

2017 22FB sport

Hello....

So the exterior hook up will work for the satellite? And where on the inside would you plug the sat Rec into? Where the antenna booster is?

Thanks in advance.

I tried it today *Tailgater for Dish. and it would not power on the actual satellite. What kind of sat system do you have?

Ayou ever get it to work? How was the cable run? I have 22 and the outside coax input will not work with tailgater dish cable

The 2019 22fb owners manual addresses this issue of making the exterior cable input bypass the factory set up...I use a Wally Dish dish and receiver and it works perfectly

Looks like two solutions. One is to bypass the factory set up by running the cable input to only the sat receiver. The other is to use a splitter with switch to toggle between sat and cable service.

I have it set now with bypass. No place in the 22 to have a switch. This does answer why a simple splitter did not work

I have the same AS and manual says you can switch between antenna and cable with the on off switch on the plate. However, if I leave in off position and connect the Wally receiver to plate coax and then the HDMI from Wally to TV it does not see a signal. Only way is to move the cable connection on plate circuit board directly to Wally. That, of course, means antenna or sat only

How did you hook up? Only way I see is to have a coax switch on cable in and toggle between cable and sat
