Roof Vent Covers

Has anyone installed a roof vent cover on their Airstream? If so, which one? I like to keep a vent open but when it rains I get wet. I also like to keep one opened slightly when traveling. I’ve installed them on my previous trailers but see them rarely on an Airstream.

MaxAir II

I *just* did this last week so I don’t have any real world feedback to share yet. Numerous lid closures in the middle of the night, most from heavy condensation, made this a must-try experiment for us. We far prefer the open windows to using A/C, and I searched and settled on the MaxxAir II. Installed 2 of them, and other than the gymnastics needed on the roof, it was a very easy install. I’m hoping to nearly eliminate the rain sensor induced closures. I did quickly recognize that the lid only opens about 2/3 of what it did before, but it seems like plenty to maximize air flow.

I’ve got MaxAir covers also. They work well.

I installed the Dometic Fantastic cover ( https://www.campingworld.com/dometic...ite-58894.html ) last summer and am happy with it. It looks like a shark fin sticking up out of the trailer, which I don’t like, but functionally, it’s great. I decided to go with the Dometic Fantastic cover after watching this video (which is made by FF, so take it for what it’s worth): https://youtu.be/p1fhkbl_1yQ
