portable clothes drying rack
when camping we do not have easy access for washing or drying our clothes. even drying the towels from the morning shower can be problematic
on a recent trip, we saw these neat clips at a marina . The mount on a boat and a 3/4- 1" piep in pushed in , it can now swivel.
That gave me a great idea. Mount the two black clips on the back of the trailer bumper cover and make a portable drying rack.
here it is built and waiting for the rain to stop or deployment
1" square hollow aluminum tubing , PVC tubing and 1/2 " solid alum bar.
the solid bar fits into the PVC tibing
the bar is longer that the PVC.
the PVC sites between the two vertical aluminum tubes.
the aluminum rod goes through square tubes and is held in place at each end by a cotter pin.
The PVC is cut such that it makes a tight fit for the cotter pins
Once all 6 PVC/rods are assembled, the structure is fairly rigid. It will hang 45 degrees off the rear Bumper when in use.
To store, disassemble and now you have just a bunch of bars and tubes to store. it will fit in the front external storage area
