What a great question, Dwain. We first bought a front bed front door 2005 Airstream CCD22, loved it dearly. Best thing was climbing up onto the bed and looking level out the panoramic front windows. But irrelevant to your question and moving along, we sold it and bought a rear bed 2005 CCD25 because we decided to full-time. We wanted the additional features namely: both dinette and sofa; dry bath; and 6' fridge. Too we gained a LOT of storage space and more in the International CCD25' rear bed.
Which is better for you? I suggest what we did before we were sold on ours. We sat in every model we could and imagined how we would fit, how it would live with us in it. We reviewed, over and over, the floorpans and features in the Airstream sales brochures. Colonial Airstream's website was a motherlode for us - we spent hours crawling through their new Airstream sales web pages, looking at the floor plans and wondering what would work best.
With the review of available models and features we then pretty quickly decided what would satisfy us for our full-timing adventure. Turns out we were pretty lucky - 140,000 towing miles and nearly 3,700 nights later we're in the same Airstream with no regrets and no intention of changing.
Good luck on your quest!
