Dometic warning signal 22FB Bambi

The accoustic signal is going off for 20 seconds every 2 minutes. Nothing else is flashing. On shore power electric, l.p. is fine, it is level. The door is shut. Any ideas?

Could be the internal batteries of the control/display unit need to be replaced.

Turn the refrigerator off. Open the door and look under the bottom edge of the control panel . There should be a square button there. Depress the button and pull the display panel toward you at the same time. It should slide right out. Replace the batteries with brand new ones. It takes 8 AA batteries.

There are no batteries in it. RV shop called Dometic. If it is door sensor it will take a month for part. If it is the control board it is $500. OMG. This isn't even 2 yrs old yet!!!

Then it's under warranty, right?

No. I bought it from original owner, although he had never had a chance to use it. Appliance warranty does not transfer with the warranty. It has been used less than 6 months. It is a 2016 model.

Are you talking about the refrigerator making a beeping sound about once every minute or so?

There is a door ajar sensor that *thinks* the door is not closed all the way, even though it is.

Google dometic refrigerator door beeping to find out more.

Solution for us was to shove a very small wad of (of course) duct tape into the hole the the door latch presses into. Thus allowing the door latch to press the tape to press the sensor, so that it "knows" the door is shut.

I found where someone said to take off the plastic cover and dry out the wires. How to get cover off without breaking it?

I removed the plastic cover (snaps off) from the door latch (Inside right wall of frig), removed the circuit board (two screws), blew out the circuit with Radio Shack contact cleaner, allowed the frig to defrosted for several hours and restarted while on 110 volt house power. Several weeks now with no issue.
Good Luck

I tried to get that cover off to no avail. Do you pull it to the front or to the left toward the interior of the fridge?

You pull up and forward from the back towards the front of the frig while lifting the back upper corner up and the back lower corner down and it will pop off.

When replacing make sure to align the white tab with the slot in the plastic cover.

Ok got it off. I had defrosted it for a full day then started it again. Same issue. Now that I have the sensor apart, did you try that diedetic gel on it? I have some for my 7plug for TV.

Ok, got it off, took it apart, dried it, used electrical protectant & lube. Nope. Still beeping. Is it okay to just leave the sensor off? I just don't have a light.

I contacted the Mothership through website 2 days ago. No answer.
