dometic frige replacement

we have 2010 19' bambi with dometic rm2451 4cu frige. we have not been happy with the temp. maintenance in our hot weather. we keep the back vent panel open, run extra fan in rear along with the factory installed fan to exhaust the hot air at the back of the frige coils. in very hot weather the frige can warm up to 51 degrees not acceptable.the freezer seems to remain comfortably within a good range. we also have moved the thermistor up as far as it can go when outside temp 90 and up. yes we have utilized the awning. when cooler frige works like a champ. we also use a battery powered fan inside the frige. look, it gets hot out when we camp sometimes despite all we can control. the absorption frige may not be my answer as worrying over food poisoning is wearing me out. i have been thinking about a compressor frige, hopefully around 4cu capacity, that would fit the space and run on dc and ac power. has anybody done that switch and was it difficult. what brand did you choose and did you notice a better hot weather frige experience. any help appreciated on this topic.
