Bathroom door modification or upgrade for more usable space
I have a 19' 2007 Bambi Special Edition LE. The bathroom is small and the door gets in the way when open and leaves little room in the bath when closed. Does anyone have any experience or ideas in replacing the solid door with an accordion type door or any other ideas?
Thanks,
Ken

I will be removing the clunky factory door from our 22 Sport and installing a custom 3 panel bifold soon. I'll post when it's done. PM me if you want details.

I am following up with the solution to our particular bathroom door issue. I removed the door and safely stored it for another time. I ordered a curved fixed brushed stainless shower rod from a company called Wingit that supplies hotels. Cut equal amounts off of each end and installed it within the door jam. It allows the kitty to come and go to her box in the shower. Allows more room in the bathroom and we don't have to deal with the door in our way getting in and out of bed at night. Certainly not for everyone but works great for us. The shower rod is well made, looks nice and took 1 hr to cut down and install. Cost 19.95 plus shipping. Sorry for the helter skelter, upside down and sideways photos. I was lucky to even figure out how to post them.

The idea of the bi-fold door on the Tommy Bahama is a very clever idea. I am tempted to take the router through the center of our door and route half the portal window clear, (if the window is routed on the hinge side it would be a flat presentation to the center of the trailer when extended and would be inborn to the shower when the door is also inboard), reinforce the hollow in the door and add piano hinges above and below the window. Add a section of oak to the existing hinge side of the door to make up the needed width. Anyone already tried this?
