@johndoerst - We are planning a trip to Glacier this June. Where did you camp? Coming from central coast of California -- interested in where you stopped on the way and returning as well. Thanks!

We stayed in the St Mary Campground on the east side. It accepts reservations and is on the Going to the Sun Road so has easy access to much of the park. Most of the rest of the good hikes are a 30-minute drive to the north entrance of the park. The campground on the west side is a lengthy drive from most of the park's hikes.
That would depend upon your chosen route. The most direct for you would be through Lost Wages, NV and Salt Lake City. SLC has several interesting campgrounds in the vicinity, particularly close to Provo. From there it is a 10-12 hour drive to the park.
Or, drive north through Oregon and eastern Washington to Spokane. Many places to stop along the way on this route. Central Oregon and the Cascades are fabulous and worth the few extra miles, in my opinion.
Alternatively, head north to Sacramento and across I80 and spend a night in the Tahoe region, then pack up early for a long drive to the park.
All three are worthwhile options. Choose one for the trip there and a different on for the return!

This one was waiting for service at Jackson Center and was of interest, because of the Hensley and the rear window history.

This one got captured by the camera, because it showed up while we were shopping for a family reunion dinner. It was one of three Airstreams that I could see while standing in front of the store. Pat

We are still on our "honeymoon" with our Bambi. Took her out to see the spring desert bloom.

Bambi Picture Thread
This is our 2012 16' Sport alone on Grizzly Lake about 35 minutes south east of Prince George, British Columbia. It is remote, and always quiet. One of our favourite places to go for a quick weekend get away. This is our fifth season with this and it is an awesome unit.

Hey Base Camp, what an inviting table. It looks lovely, both the setting and tableware. Would you indulge us on more pictures of your interior decor.

We also initiated our current tour in the Southwest during the flower explosion. Here's an image blast from then to now:
