adding a 2nd upper cabinet on the curb side

I ordered a 2nd upper cabinet for the curb side.
other AS have one . to need more space and As told me it would fit

It did not ship with the end wood and how to install it.
I have
added three types of LED light
i change to top and added a guard so that we could hold books up there and them them so they would not move. I made it more width from 4" to 6.5"

Once my two friends come, i will install it over curb window

I presume you will fill the interior with stuff, and with books on top the weight will be significant in/on the cabinet.

Please be sure you calculate how to mount the cabinet so that it can hold that weight securely jouncing and bouncing down the road.

Sorry if you have already done that! Just something to consider....

yes i did that that BEFORE i ordered the cabinet.

it will have less weight that the other side. The kitchen cabinet as has dishes, cup and other heavy stiff.

the new upper cabinet as aluminum under it. may AS did not have it, even though the as 22fb tech document shows it has a heat aluminum. A nothing thing that As did not do in our AS (;

it.s great to have good friends. we are there to help each other . that is what friends are for.

the upper curb cabinet is now installed with my friends help. only needed 20 mins
  • #10 2" screws on the bottom to hold them into the trusses (42 3/4'' apart.
  • 3m VHB tap behind so that they dont move or squeak.
  • on the top I used heavy duty pipe hangers , screwed into the upper part of the cabinet and 2-3 rivets to pull it against the upper wall.

solid connection now

i completed the curb side wiring for the lights

AS makes it VERY hard to add wiring afterwords. There were two trusses in the path , they are solid with no holes. thus i could not get passed them.

i had to run the wiring from the self to the power switches near the door. i used small diameter plastic cable hiders to run it from the switch to the upper panel..

not the prettiest work , but no other option.

here are what the t lights look like.

i also replaced the dome light over the sink with LED strips and two pots centers over the sink drain

Interested in doing the same. Can I ask who you ordered it from and a ball park price? It looks great..
