Did you check it carefully for filiform corrosion and does it have any?

Hey, Susan! Congratulations on your find! We chatted a month ago while you were searching for your Winick...happy to hear you found one! We just returned from our shakedown with our "Winie" to the Anza-Borrego Desert in SoCal. We received so many compliments and just LOVE her! Enjoy!

#72 75th Anniversary Bambi
We found her close to home in Colorado. Which was totally unexpected as the month b/4 we had driven to CA to purchase one that was in terrible condition.
We have boondocked one weekend and are so pleased with the trailer. We are still trying to figure out some storage solutions. We had a Pleasure-way van b/4 which had more storage.
Your videos were awesome and very helpful in making our decision.
I think the only thing we have found problematic with the trailer are the speakers.

Thanks,

Sue, Colonial Airstream (in NJ, near Philly) has a 75th for sale. They bought it at a repo auction and reconditioned it. It's definitely worth a look, if you haven't seen it already.

75th Anniversary No. 72
You may want to verify that you have number 72. We purchased number 72 from George Sutton RV in Eugene, Oregon that particular number. Call me with questions at 503 747 9170 Randy Cline

Newbie Seeks a 75 th Anniversary Bambi
Hi All,
I think that this is the Airstream that would work for my family me. How do I find a 2007 75th anniversary Bambi? What is their price range on the market?
Thanks
Jack

When looking for the 75th Anniversary Bambi, be sure you understand the difference between the Custom Designed 75th Anniversary Bambi designed by David Winick...the truly special one...and the "regular" rigs from 2006 and 2007 that are badged with the 75th Anniversary badge (like ours is)... We love our 19' 75th Anniversary Safari SE but it is NOT the Custom Edition... They were only 75 made and they are numbered...see below. We almost got one but the deal fell apart due to shoddy dealer practices...we ended up buying ours at Oasis RV in Tucson instead...and we love it.

I honestly can't figure out what could make the Winick rig nicer than yours. It is absolutely gorgeous. I'd be proud as heck to have one that was done up the way you have yours finished.

Seeing yours sure got us thinking about how nice the newer units are. We are diehard vintage (ourselves included) but yours was the first one to cause us to pause and talk about how nicely they can be done. I'm sure if Donna was offered the chance to buy one she'd really be hard pressed to not do so. That is a 100% reversal from her thoughts prior to seeing yours.
I can appreciate the desire for those who want the uniqueness of the Winick (?sp) version given our penchant for unique cars, but at the same time, if one is willing to accept a unit that is not so badged and from my understanding other than a few small variances - all cosmetic - otherwise an identical rig, and the exact same functionality, then finding one of the regular versions like yours would be an excellent find.
And you two have proven that under certain circumstances it can be a longer term termpory residence.

There is one for sale in the Airforum classifeds in Connecticut. The more I read Winnick's book, the more I really like this model - but the $55k for the as-new trailer currently advertised in the classifieds strikes me as a big chunk of money.

I've seen used ones go for @ $35000 so $55000 is way to high. They were 60000 new.

I looked at the one in Conn. Last week, it is not in the best condition, filofilm, dents, scratches, interior wood scraped...not even close to "as new" condition.
