2020 Bambi 22FB TV upgrade

I hate the TV that came with the Bambi. Looking to replace with a Smartv and connect via cell/wireless for streaming services where available.

Any considerations I need to be aware of? What's the largest TV anyone has installed in their Bambi 22FB? Going out this morning to see if a 32" might fit.

Thanks in advance.

Just went out and measured. Does not look like I can go much bigger then 22"-24" size wise. I can't seem to find anything that small that is "smart". Perhaps I will just continue to use the Firestick until the TV dies and go from there.....

We completely agree with you about the 22FB factory TV. The thing is extremely rugged, though. Ours has a finicky articulating arm mount. We watched at the dealer as a "tech" struggled mightily to unlock the mount. I doubted the TV could withstand all the hard tugging and pushing, but it did. The images on our TV are very good, limited mainly by the quality of the signal, which at most RV parks we've visited is generally very poor.

It is the sound quality that bugs. The tiny speakers are all but useless. We'd like to get the sound to come thru the better ceiling speakers that serve the radio. Have not yet spent the time and energy on figuring out how to accomplish this.

Iíve got a 2020 caravel 22fb and Iím looking at replacing with a 32inch tv that will store rotated at 90 degrees and otherwise pulled out and up near the ceiling. Found some good mounts at MountMyMonitor.com. If that doesnít work, Iím sure I could at least use a 27Ē TV

The sound is definitely better if routed through the stereo. Iíve only been able to do so with my extra connections (Apple TV or blu ray player) put in a hdmi switch with an audio extractor which I run as an auxiliary input to the stereo. This wonít work with the tv coaxial signal, but I think it will on a different tv with ARC

I upgraded the TV in my 23FB from the factory 22" LG dumb TV to a 24" Vizio smart TV. I didn't really have the room to go any bigger. I'm pleased with the upgrade.

we placed the TV with a better quality LED model

we also ran an audio cable back the the receiver above the sink. shut off the TV speaker and we get the receiver to play back the sound through the overhead speakers

I will have to check that out. Do you have a model number for that Vizio?

Addressing the speakers issue, I have been using a sound bar, cheap from Amazon, and that seems to do the job on getting better/louder sound especially with the AC on.

I have to look into that, using a sound bar now. Thanks!

I’ll see if I can dig it up. I bought it at Best Buy. There aren’t many choices for smart TVs in that size.

I bought a Bluetooth dongle to play sound through the Airstream sound system.

Next to the radio above the sink, on our 22FB, built into the radio enclosure, are two USB ports. At first I wondered why these would be useful, but it occurs to me that these are AUX inputs to the radio.

Can anyone confirm this?

Nevermind. I decided to pull the front panel out of the enclosure. The two USB ports are for charging only. However, there are lots of dead-end wires and cables sitting in there.

Haha, just logged on to reply (charging only) but I see you figured it out.
