Refrigerator / Power question - I am sure this is a stupid question BUT we are about to have our maiden voyage on Thursday in our AS Safari. I know we should turn the fridge on soon so it will be cold by the time we leave. I know it will run on propane BUT my concern is this... if I turn the Battery Connection Switch to "store" or OFF, the lights on the fridge also go off. I don't want to drain my batteries since we are unable to connect to shore power at our home...maybe it won't but I am thinking it might??? EDUCATE ME SOMEONE, please and thank you!!!
If you make sure that all the other 12v loads are off you should be able to run the fridge on the batteries and propane for several days to get things cooled down. The refrigerator doesn't use much 12v power to run.
If you have an inverter you can disconnect easily from the batteries I'd recommend this as they can have high standby parasitic loads.
